Deed Drafting
In many situations, particularly when dealing with trusts, parties must execute a deed. In other circumstances, a different form of document is necessary.
Deeds create binding commitments to perform certain obligations. Deeds are different to agreements or contracts in that they must be in writing and must be witnessed (whereas an agreement can be made verbally or in writing without witness).
When necessary, a deed can be used to change trustees, transfer a trust fund to its beneficiaries, transfer land and other assets and change the terms of an individual’s will by variation. Our legal team can assist with the drafting of deeds, resolutions and minutes for trustees and individuals.
